Week 10, #24 Summarize your Thoughts

Max Power really enjoyed doing the 25 things.  Although Max Power is extremely smart and very technical Max Power was not aware of all the web 2.0 out there.  Thanks to the 25 things, Max Power used some of the web 2.0 for the first time.

Max Power thinks that there is an evil genius behind the 25 things.  This evil genius aka Mrs. Dobbin did an excellent job with this amazing 25 exercises.

Week 10, #23 Netlibrary

Max Power loves to check-out a Netlibrary book.  Max Power uses his WPL card to login and view many Netlibrary book that the Whitby Public Library has to offer.

Max Power things the genius behind WPL’s Netlibrary, Mr. Nickerson is awesome.  Mr. Nickerson did a great job incorporating the functions of Netlibrary into the WPL catalogue.

Week 10, #22 Podcasts

Podcasts are usefully if you want to view broadcast on you own time.  It is like a PVR.

Max Power has subscribe to many podcasts including CNN’s Chief International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour.

Max Power is a busy man, he does not have much time thus he views his Podcast on his iPhone while he is on a Limo to the Airport.

Week 10, #21 YouTube!

I found this interesting video at youtube.com along with many many other cool video.  All I have to say is that Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim are very very smart guys.  These three guys programmed youtube.

Youtube is the only social networking site, I actually use.

Week 9, Thing 20: PBWikis

 

PBwiki’s are a good way for many people in our group or organization to connect and collaborate.  In fact Max Power will connect and collaborate in Moe’s Tavern with Barney Gumble, a guy with a fake id,  Homer Simpson, Moe Szyslak, Carl Carlson, and Lenny Leonard.

Next week, Max Power will sign in PBwiki and collaborate in the Drunken Clam.  Max Power will have Joe Swanson, Peter Griffin, Glenn Quagmire, and Cleveland Brown join in at PBwiki.

Week 9, Thing 19: Wikis

What Max Power found was most interesting thing about wikis are: people contributing from all round the globe (Including Springfield, Whitby and Quahog).  When Max Power was looking at some of the wiki pages MaxPower found ip range in varies sub classes that are assigned to a specific countries.

Max Power does use wiki for information especially information that is common information.  If  information was tampered with; someone in the world wide web usually modify the tampered information with correct information.  Max Power has his wiki page, please visit Max Power’s wiki page.  

Max Power things that wiki is a good application for Whitby Public Library especially if they want to promote the Library in the world wide web.  In fact if Max Power googled Whitby Public Library wikpedia page  is the second link on google after the libraries wonderful website.

Week 7, Thing 17: Read a few Perspectives on Web 2.0 and Library 2.0

Libraries need to found new ways to connect to their Patrons.  Max Power things that what essential all the articles are saying.  Web 2.0 is the newest way to connect to the world outside Libraries.

The Whitby Public Library took a giant step once it introduced it’s new web2.0 site.

Only if Quahog Public Library did the same, Chris and Peter Griffin would know more about Libraries.

Chris: What’s a library, dad?
Peter: Oh, it’s just a place where homeless people come to shave and go BM.

Week 7, Thing 16: Technorati

Global Warming is a Myth.  Well that’s according to Glenn Beck and his guest.

I found this video which was originally in Youtube but was tagged in Technorati.  And that how Social Networking site work.  It links everything from one website to another.

Overall Max Power finds Technorati still needs to improve on  searching capabilities.  Max Power finds the searching capabilities are lacking that of yahoo and google.

Week 7, Thing 15: Tagging and Delicious

Delicious is very deliciously useful.  I can finally save all my favorite bookmark in one spot.  I will never lose a bookmark again.  Currently Max Power has many computers he uses and save his bookmarks.  Thanks to Delicious Max Power can save many bookmarks.

Tagging is how anything is found and located in the Internet.  Delicious Tags are particularly useful in searching to found other bookmark websites.

Thanks to Delicious and Tagging, I found a twenty dollar bill.

Max: Aw, twenty dollars! I wanted a peanut!
Max’s Brain: Twenty dollars can buy many peanuts!
Max: Explain how!
Max’s Brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services!
Max: Woo-hoo!

Week 6, Thing 14: Image Generator

I wish I was there

Oh, they have Image Generator on the Internet now.

Another cool thing on the world wide web.

I simply love Image Generator.

What I really like about the three example (Freeway Sign, Lego Dude, and Welcome to Las Vegas) is that you don’t need to sign to generator cool images like “I wish I was there”.
